25 Week Bumpdate

Hello Friends! I realize I haven't shared too much about my pregnancy thus far on here so I thought I'd do a little bumpdate! I also wanted to share with y'all this gorgeous light pink maternity dress from PinkBlush Maternity. I wore this over the weekend for Aria's birthday party and usually as soon as I get home I'm ready to change into something comfier (aka pajamas) but this dress is so incredibly soft and comfortable I didn't want to take it off!

I'm also loving this draped maternity dress in light pink. Right now PinkBlush is offering free shipping and 20% off sitewide with code TIME2SHOP!

Now for the bumpin'...

How far along: 25 weeks today!

Size of baby: Cauliflower (appx 13.5 inches long and 1.46 lbs)

Gender: Boy!

Movement: Lots! The placenta is anterior (in front) so Hubby & Aria can't feel any of Little Dude's kicks on the outside yet but I feel him all day long! He's usually awake and kickin' when I'm eating, sitting or hungry. He's definitely more active than Aria was at this stage.

Sleep: I wake up to go to the bathroom at least once a night and baby is almost always awake sometime between 2 and 4am, so I've been struggling with some insomnia. Last night I was able to fall back asleep for an hour and a half before waking up for work tho so that was nice!

Cravings: I just had a very strong desire for a chicken salad sandwich. And watermelon!

Challenges: Trying to be Super Mom and yet still take it easy, put my feet up and relax. I've had type 1 diabetes for over 25 years and I had preeclampsia during my third trimester with Aria so every day is a challenge. I don't want to go into too much detail but I'm being medicated for high blood pressure already and my hands and feet swell very easily. Staying active, hydrated, drinking beet juice and resting as needed seems to be helping!

Best moment this week: Aria's 5th birthday! And having my Mom and Dad in town to help us get the nursery ready and tackle some major projects around the house. They're seriously the best!

Now for some of the questions I've been asked a lot lately:

Do you have a name picked out? Yes, we think so! We're still not 100% sure yet tho, so we'll share when it feels right. Aria's name has so much meaning to us that we want our son's name to be just as perfect!

Have you decided on a nursery theme/decor? Yes! We're painting the walls all white and going with a modern Hawaiian theme. Natural woods, grey, Aria's favorite aqua blue, pineapple and palm leaf. It will be filled with aloha and I can't wait to share it with y'all!

When are you due? Technically my due date is June 5th, but being very high-risk my doctor and I have already discussed that the goal is for me to get to 37 or 38 weeks before having another scheduled c-section, so I'm guessing May 22nd!

Are you still working? Yes, I am still working full time outside of the home. I have greatly slowed down my side-hustle photography business tho, which is sad, but definitely necessary so I don't overdo things. I tend to do way too much! I was put on bed rest and had to stop working during my third trimester with Aria so we'll see how things go.

Is Aria excited about becoming a big sister? Of course! If you saw our gender reveal post, you may be thinking Aria's not down with the little brother vibes, but she's totally warmed up to the idea and is more than ready for him to join us! She was the first person to know I was pregnant at 4 weeks, so this has been a long wait! She's going to be the best little helper ever and I'm so excited for her.

If you have any other questions for me please leave a comment or send us a message! We're headed to Canada in 8 days for our babymoon and last family trip as a trio!
